The Keymark for thermal insulation products:
An additional assurance for users
The Keymark is the result of a stringent voluntary certification scheme. Certificates are issued by certification bodies that fullfil specific requirements. The most significant characteristic for thermal insulation products, the declared thermal conductivity, is based on test results from registered test laboratories that have shown to be experts in the field.
The Keymark is a voluntary quality mark, developed by the European standardisation bodies, which are member of the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN), following a single set of rules. It provides the users and others in Europe with the clear and simple message that the product complies with a European product standard.
The Keymark for thermal insulation products will assist users to differentiate between products conforming to the legally required minimum (safety) characteristics in the European Economic Area (CE Marking) and products conforming to the complete European product standard (Keymark).
